Menalcol is a skin antiseptic that can be used on wounds that are not very extensive or deep and on healthy skin.
It can be used on both adults and children with adult supervision.
It can be used in pregnancy and lactation under medical and/or pharmaceutical supervision.
Use with caution in newborns, especially those born before 32 weeks of gestation and in the first 2 weeks of life.
Menalcol is for cutaneous use. For external use only. DO NOT INGEST.
Apply directly on the area to be treated, leave for 2 minutes before any procedure.
Do not use Menalcol reinforced 70º if you are allergic to the active ingredients of this product.
Do not apply on deep and extensive wounds or mucous membranes.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and consult an ophthalmologist if necessary.
Prolonged use may cause skin irritation and dryness and contact dermamtitis.
The active ingredients are 70% ethanol (70 proof alcohol) and chlorhexidine digluconate.
Each ml of solution contains 0.995 ml of 70% ethanol and 0.005 ml of chlorhexidine digluconate.
Each 100 ml of solution contains 99.5 ml of 70% ethanol (70 proof alcohol) and 0.5 ml of chlorhexidine digluconate.
Does not contain excipients.
Traditionally used for disinfection of the umbilical cord until it falls off with neonates according to the paediatrician's instructions.
In the absence of compatibility studies, this medicine should not be mixed with other medicines.
Protect from heat. Highly flammable. Keep container tightly closed.
Do not smoke during application.
