Magnogene is a medicine indicated for the prevention and treatment of low magnesium levels, which manifest themselves in weakness and muscle cramps, as a result of diets poor in vegetables, whole grains and pulses.
It comes in a handy 45-tablet pack.
Suitable for use by adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
Take 2 tablets after each meal, 2 times a day.
Do not use Magnogene:
In children under 12 years of age without medical supervision.
In cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
In patients with impaired renal function, renal failure, hereditary galactose intolerance, Lapp's lactase insufficiency, glucose or galactose malabsorption, diabetic coma, myasthenia gravis, chronic diarrhoea, ulcerative colitis, ileostomy, symptoms of appendicitis.
Medical supervision in concomitant intake with tetracyclines, quinolones, bisphosphonates, calcium and calcium-rich foods.
Pregnancy and lactation, medical evaluation.
Like all medicines, Magnogene may cause side effects:
Gastrointestinal disturbances, watery diarrhoea, vomiting.
The active substance in Magnogene is magnesium. Each tablet contains 53 mg magnesium from 125.06 mg magnesium hydroxide, 7.17 mg magnesium bromide and 0.34 mg magnesium fluoride.
As excipients, contains: Sodium chloride, Sodium iodide, Lactose, Maize starch, Povidone, Macrogol 4000/10000, Magnesium stearate, 30 % methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer dispersion (1:1), Calcium carbonate, Sucrose, Talc, Gum arabic, Titanium dioxide (E-171), Macrogol 6000.
Do not take this medicine on an empty stomach, as it may cause diarrhoea. It is therefore recommended to be taken after each meal, twice a day.
