Tablets with Ginkgo biloba for the improvement and treatment of blood microcirculation.
Contains 30 tablets.
It is a medicinal product in the form of film-coated tablets formulated with Ginkgo biloba extract EGb 761®, an active ingredient that improves blood microcirculation.
Its use treats and improves alterations in cerebral microcirculation, such as vertigo or tinnitus, as well as symptoms resulting from circulatory insufficiency in the extremities, such as leg cramps or a feeling of cold.
Intended foruse in adults who need to improve blood microcirculation.
Take 1 tablet of Tavonin a day with a glass of water. If necessary, the dose may be increased to 2 tablets daily, equivalent to 240 mg of Ginkgo biloba extract.
Do not take Tavonin :
- In children under 18 years of age.
- In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to Ginkgo biloba or to any of the other ingredients included in this medicine.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, due to lack of clinical data on its use.
Tavonin 120 mg may cause side effects, as with all medicines, but this does not mean that everybody suffers from them. In particular, the following effects of unknown frequency have been observed:
- Allergic skin reactions.
- Gastrointestinal problems such as diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, vertigo.
- Headache.
- In very rare cases, bleeding from individual organs.
Each tablet of Tavonin contains 120 mg of dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves EGb 761® as the main active ingredient (dry plant/extract ratio: 35-67:1) obtained with 60% m/m acetone , quantified to 26.4 - 32.4 mg of flavonoids calculated as flavone glycosides and 6.48 - 7.92 mg of terpene lactones, of which 3.48 - 7.92 mg of terpene lactones and 3.5 - 4.5 mg of flavonoids calculated as flavone glycosides.of which 3,36 - 4,08 mg are ginkgolides A, B, and C, and 3,12 - 3,84 mg are bilobalides and not more than 0,6 micrograms are ginkgolic acids.
The other excipients are: Croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silica dioxide, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, macrogol 1500, magnesium stearate, corn starch, microcellulose microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, magnesium stearate, magnesium stearate, magnesium stearate, magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate.corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, dimethicone, alpha octadecyl omega hydroxypoly(oxyethylene)5, sorbic acid (E-200), talc and colouring agents: titanium dioxide (E-171) and iron oxide red (E-172).
Tavonin is a medicine formulated with ginkgo biloba extract, an ancient tree whose activity improves blood microcirculation, making it very useful for treating pathologies where this vascularisation of capillaries is compromised, such as in cases of tinnitus, vertigo or circulatory insufficiency in the limbs.
It comes in red tablets, blister-packed for easy storage. It is recommended to take one a day, although the dose can be increased to two if necessary on medical advice.
