Purina Veterinary Diets EN Gastroenteric is a complete dry cat food, to be taken on veterinary prescription, especially suitable for small and adult cats with intestinal problems such as: acute or chronic diarrhoea, weight loss and intermittent vomiting, gastroenteritis and colitis, malabsorption and maldigestion, food intolerance and inflammatory bowel disease.
It is an easily digestible feed with added prebiotics (inulin) to improve intestinal flora and stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria. The limited protein content reduces the antigenic load so that possible adverse gastrointestinal reactions are kept to a minimum. It also includes bentonite, which has a high nutrient absorption capacity so that the intestinal mucosa is protected and a high load on the intestine is avoided.
In addition, it is a very tasty food with high palatability for the most inappetent cats.
