VETERINARY HPM is a new generation of cat food designed to meet the nutritional needs of carnivores as closely as possible. It is based on a formula low in carbohydrates and rich in protein. The result is nutrition that is perfectly adapted to your cat's needs.
Virbac Senior Neutered Cat contains 38% protein, 89% of which is of animal origin.
Older cats often have a reduced appetite, and are also predisposed to weight and muscle loss. Cellular ageing mechanisms are intensified and the main functions must be protected by a food adapted to their stage of life.
Control of body weight. Energy is moderately high to compensate for the loss of appetite and digestive capacity that frequently occurs in older cats. The balance of energy between protein, fat and carbohydrates helps maintain optimal body condition.
Maintains kidney function. Reduced phosphorus content and chitosan supplementation help maintain healthy kidney function.
Reduced phosphorus content. Phosphorus content is 25% lower than the adult cat food formula.
Dental tartar control. Special ingredients help to limit the formation of dental plaque and tartar and ensure good oral health.
Urinary health. The high level of animal protein stimulates water intake, increases urine output and helps stabilise pH for a healthy urinary system. Chitosan supplementation limits urinary elimination of phosphorus to prevent the formation of struvite crystals.

Dehydrated pork and poultry protein, potato starch (min. 4%), broad bean pods, animal fats, hydrolysed pork and poultry protein, peas, minerals, rice (min. 4%), lignocellulose, beet pulp, brewer's yeast, linseed, fish oil, psyllium fibre (Plantago (L.) spp.), fructo-oligosaccharides, hydrolysed crustaceans (source of chitosan), chondroitin sulphate, Lactobacillus acidophilus.
