Shampoo for the relief of flaking scalp disorders, such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, psoriasis, dandruff and itching.

It is a medicinal shampoo whose active ingredients are coal tar and salicylic acid, which help to reduce excessive scalp desquamation. Therefore, its use is indicated for scalp flaking disorders, such as the relief of itching and flaking of the skin in psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis and dandruff.
Comes in a convenient 200 ml bottle.
It is indicated for adults and children over 18 years of age.
There are no studies during pregnancy and lactation, but it is contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy. In all other cases, consult your doctor.
Use Ionil shampoo on the scalp once or twice a week and rinsethoroughly with water after each use.
The usual duration of treatment is 4 weeks, at the end of which you should see improvement. If a longer treatment is required, it should be carried out under medical supervision.
Contraindications
Do not use Ionil shampoo:
In children under 18 years of age.
If you are allergic to coal tar, salicylic acid or any of the excipients.
If you have any of the following skin problems: active, inflamed psoriasis or eczema with fluid discharge, pustular psoriasis, photosensitivity, inflammation of hair follicles or acne vulgaris.
Ionil shampoo may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that everyone will experience them.
Rare: severe allergic reactions, itchy rash, swelling of the face or mouth and difficulty breathing.
Other side effects: eye irritation, unusual hair loss or thinning, dermatitis, changes in hair colour, abnormal hair texture, sensitivity to sunlight, skin irritation with possible dryness, redness, itching or even burning of the skin and skin pain, rash or inflammation at the application site.
Frequency not known: inflammation of hair follicles, generalised pustular psoriasis and altered varicose status.
The active ingredients of Ionil shampoo are coal tar and salicylic acid. Each ml of shampoo contains 42,5 mg coal tar (4,25 %) and 20 mg salicylic acid (2 %). As excipients: ethanol, polyethylene glycol-4-lauryl ether (Macrogol-4-lauryl ether), polyethylene glycol-23-lauryl ether (Macrogol-23-lauryl ether), benzalkonium chloride, edetate tetrasodium tetrahydrate, anhydrous citric acid and purified water.
This shampoo has a clear amber gel appearance with a characteristic coal tar odour.
The shampoo should be used with a double application. Each time, it should be in contact with the scalp for 3-5 minutes, avoiding contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If this accidentally happens, rinse with plenty of water.
May temporarily stain light hair, skin and clothing.
