Lactofoal ADP Special milk formula for foals In case of foal orphan, insufficient lactation of the mare or the need for post-weaning feeding, it is essential to have a milk formula specially formulated for the foal.
LACTOFOAL was formulated by AUDEVARD Laboratories to precisely reproduce the characteristics of mare's milk.
Mother's milk for rearing and progressive weaning of orphan foals, to supplement lactation in case of insufficient lactation of the mare, for post-weaning.
LACTOFOAL is appreciated for its complete formula which nourishes the foal in a specific way while respecting its specific needs. Each box comes with a nipple that fits in a classic bottle.

The LACTOFOAL formula is adapted to the specific needs of the foal: protein and fat levels specific to the equine species; optimal protein quality; intake of pro- and prebiotics. It comes in the form of a powder that dissolves perfectly in water.
As the foaling season approaches, remember to have a box available. The keg format is convenient and economical for prolonged use. LACTOFOAL can be added to the foal's daily ration during the first 2 months after weaning. Start with 500 g and reduce gradually.

Daily dose: Dilute 2 measures of the product in 1 litre of lukewarm water. Shake well to obtain a fluid mixture. Give the milk to the foal at about 35°C. Milk prepared in advance can be kept for 24 hours in the refrigerator. The quantities to be administered should be adapted according to the breed and the foal's state of health. Gradually adapt the quantities and frequency according to the following indications:
Day 1: 8 litres of milk per day (1 litre every 3 hours),
Day 10: 12 litres of milk per day (2 litres every 4 hours or 25% of body weight in reconstituted milk per day),
1 month: 15 litres of milk per day (3 litres every 5 hours).
Between the 3rd and 4th month, gradually switch to dry feed and wean the foal.
Post-weaning feed supplement for the foal: pour 10 scoops of LACTOFOAL per day into the ration and gradually reduce the quantities.
