Ekygard is a dietary supplement that helps protect the stomach wall and reduces gastric acidity in your horse.
Contains 6 kg.
EKYGARD is a complementary feed formulated by AUDEVARD Laboratories. It has been designed to provide nutritional support adapted to the gastric needs of horses.
Your horse's environment can directly affect stomach acid. Stress, lifestyle (competition travel, change of stable, etc.), activity level and diet are all elements that can increase stomach acidity. To help protect the stomach wall against the aggression of acidity, Ekygard is a solution.
The complete formula of EKYGARD allows a global action on your horse's stomach: protection of the gastric mucosa, reduction of acidity by buffering effect, stabilisation of the bacterial flora of the digestive tract. It also has a calming effect and stimulates appetite.
- 2.4 kg box. Allows up to 30 days of use in adult horses (2 months in a foal).
- 6 kg bucket. Allows up to 75 days of use in adult horses (150 days in a foal).
- 14 kg barrel. Allows up to 6 months of use in adult horses (1 year in a foal).
The Ekygard formula includes the 3 essential elements recommended by the European group of veterinary specialists in the horse's stomach. This is the association of pectin, lecithin, lithothamne and Yea Sacc (Saccharamoyces cerevisae), a brewer's yeast. The pectin-lecithin complex allows the formation of a gel that protects the stomach wall of your horse against acid secretions. Lithothamnium has a buffering effect, i.e. it reduces the acidity in your companion's stomach. Yea Sacc (Saccharamoyces cerevisae), a probiotic that stabilises the bacterial flora to aid digestion in the intestine. In addition to these 3 essential elements, there is aloe vera which provides a soothing effect, clay which helps protect the stomach and marshmallow ( Althaea officinalis ).

- Pectin-lecithin complex is a scientifically proven ingredient to help protect your horse's stomach lining. It works simply: when it encounters acid in the stomach, it forms a gel that coats the inner gastric wall, either at the level of the pylorus, the glandular part or the squamous part. It therefore creates a barrier to protect your equine's digestive wall against acid.
Lithothamnion is a seaweed rich in calcium carbonate and magnesium which helps to reduce stomach acidity.
- Alfalfa has a buffering effect on stomach acidity.
- Aloe vera has a soothing effect if the stomach is sensitive.
Clay helps to protect the mucous membranes of the stomach.
