What is it and what is it for?

Aerochamber Children's Inhalation Chamber is an inhalation chamber specially designed for use by children who need medication by inhalation, such as those with asthma or other respiratory diseases.

The chamber is placed in the child's mouth and allows the medication to accumulate in the chamber before being inhaled by the child, which increases the amount of medication that reaches the lungs and reduces the amount that remains in the mouth or is lost in the air.

The children's version of the Aerochamber is smaller and easier for children to use, with special features to suit their needs, such as a face mask that adapts to the child's face for a snug fit and a valve that allows the Aerochamber to be used in a child's mouth.A flow valve limits the amount of air that enters the chamber, making it easier for the child to inhale the medication.

Who is it for?

The Aerochamber is indicated for people who need to administer inhaled medication as part of their treatment for respiratory diseases, such as:

  1. Asthma: The Aerochamber is especially useful for children with asthma who have difficulty coordinating the inhalation of medication through the inhaler.

  2. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Aerochamber is also used in the treatment of COPD patients, as it can improve the effectiveness of the medicine and reduce side effects.

  3. Other respiratory diseases: Aerochamber may also be useful in the treatment of other respiratory diseases, such as chronic bronchitis, cystic fibrosis and pneumonia, among others.

Instructions for use

  1. Remove the cap from the inhaler and check that the medicine cartridge is in place.

  2. Shake the inhaler well to mix the medicine.

  3. Insert the inhaler into the back of the Aerochamber. The front part is designed to be placed in the patient's mouth.

  4. If a face mask is used, place it firmly over the patient's mouth and nose.

  5. Have the patient hold the Aerochamber in an upright position, with the front facing the mouth.

  6. Have the patient breathe deeply and slowly through the Aerochamber. This allows the medication to accumulate in the chamber before being inhaled.

  7. Remove the Aerochamber from the patient's mouth after inhaling deeply and hold the breath for a few seconds.
