Zylkene is a natural tranquilliser for dogs and cats. Zylkene is a nutritional supplement formulated from milk and indicated for the prevention or treatment of problems related to stress and behaviour of the animal. It is natural thanks to alpha-casozepine, a molecule derived from milk proteins, with a relaxing effect. Its moderate anxiolytic or calming results are similar to those found in other drugs such as diazepam. Zylkene is a water-soluble, lactose-free powder solution.
It is easy to administer, but extreme caution should be exercised in cases of animals allergic or sensitive to milk. It tastes good to the animal and has no side effects. It can be used for long periods of time.
