Vaselix 20% Salicylic 60 ml

Vaselix is a cosmetic skin care product specially formulated to treat skin conditions that cause the skin to become harder or to have warts and blemishes. The active ingredient responsible for gradually returning the skin to its natural state is salicylic acid.

Vaselix 20% with salicylic acid brings some benefits with its recurrent application, which are:

• It has the ability to exfoliate. This benefits the detachment of the stratum corneum, which is affected by hyperkeratosis and is what causes the skin to become harder and harder.
• It has the effect of causing the cells present in the stratum corneum to regenerate to make the skin look healthier.
• It can minimise skin blemishes caused by keratosis pilaris.
• In order to remove warts from the skin, salicylic acid works by burning the warts. This means that its application destroys the thin skin of the wart so that it gradually degrades.
• On the other hand, it has a very similar effect on corns as it does on hyperkeratosis. What it does in this case is to soften the dead skin so that it can be easily removed.
• It also has anti-inflammatory and anti-infective effects and can prevent fungi from adhering to the affected areas.

It is indicated for all those who have skin conditions derived from hyperkeratosis, keratosis pilaris, psoriasis or actinic keratosis.

Vaselix can be applied 1 to 2 times a day and up to 3 times a week. It is applied topically directly to the localised areas, massaging gently until completely absorbed. It should not be applied to healthy skin and hands should be washed thoroughly immediately after application.

Vaselix 20% should not be used in people allergic to any of the indicated components.

The cream should not be applied to open wounds, genital area, mucous membranes, around the eyes, moles, warts with hair and warts on the mucous membranes. Allergic reactions or painful irritation may occur in these areas.

Possible side effects of Vaselix 20% may include:

• Dryness and irritation over the affected area.
• Increased sensitivity to the sun.
• Damage to the skin barrier, related to excessive or prolonged use.
• Aggravation of skin conditions such as rosacea, dermatitis or eczema.

Vaselix 20% is composed of 20% salicylic acid in a fatty excipient (petrolatum).
