What is it and what is it for?

Urgocall callus dressing is a medical device used to protect the skin affected by hardening of the skin and crow's eyes.

It helps to alleviate ailments caused by rubbing and pressure from tight-fitting shoes. It serves as a skin barrier against possible infections. It is composed of a surface layer and an inner layer.

The superficial layer is flesh-coloured. The inner layer contains a disc and a salicylic acid-rich tablet, as well as adhesive edges that allow the dressing to be fixed to the skin.

The adhesive backing is ideal for holding the dressing in place. It helps to reduce discomfort and provides comfort during daily activities.

Salicylic acid is an active ingredient that acts directly on the callus, softening it to aid its removal.

This non-sterile product has been classified as class III. It is characteristically caustic. It should therefore only be applied to the affected area, avoiding contact with healthy skin.

Who is it suitable for?

Urgocall Callus Dressing is recommended for adults and adolescents over 16 years of age who have crow's eyes, corns or calluses on the toes.

Instructions for use

Before applying the dressing, it is advisable to take a foot bath with warm water and then dry the affected area carefully.

To apply the dressing, peel off the protective pads and place it on the callus. The salicylic acid protective disc should remain on top of this area, without overlapping it and without contact with the healthy dermis.

Apply a little pressure on the edges to fix the product. It is recommended to perform this treatment every night before going to bed.

It is not reusable. To reduce the risk of infection, it should be discarded after the first use.

Consult your doctor if you do not notice any improvement after two weeks of treatment.

Contraindications

If severe pain occurs during treatment, the use of the dressing should be discontinued.

Persons affected by arthritis, circulatory problems or neuropathies need the permission of a health specialist to use this product.

Do not use in people with allergy to salicylates or to the other components of the formula.

Do not use on people with infected skin. Do not apply to healthy skin or mucous membranes as it may cause burns.
