Specifically, among these parasites, it treats those caused by Enterobius vermicularis: Oxyuriasis; Ascaris lumbricoides: Ascaridiasis; Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus: Uncinariasis; Trichostrongylus colubriformis and orientalis: Trichostrongyliasis.
The recommended dose of Trilombrin tablets varies according to the weight and age of the patient. Typically it is 10 mg pyrantel pamoate per kg bodyweight administered as a single dose.
Due to the low digestive absorption of pyrantel, there are no contraindications or food incompatibilities with this medicinal product.
Trilombrin tablets may cause side effects, as is the case with other drugs on the market. However, Trilombrin has been shown to be very well tolerated, so side effects, if they occur, are usually in the form of gastrointestinal problems such as colic, nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea. Dizziness, drowsiness, insomnia, headaches, dizziness and skin rashes may also occur.
Each tablet contains 250 mg pyrantel pamoate as the main active ingredient. The other excipients are: fructose, tartaric acid, lemon flavour, magnesium stearate, ethyl cellulose, polyvinylpyrrolidone K-30, crystallised sorbitol and orange flavour.
Trilombrin chewable tablets is an anthelmintic medicine that immobilises parasites and facilitates their expulsion from the intestine, without causing helminth migration.
The tablets, which are administered orally, can be easily broken as they are slotted to obtain the required dose. Moreover, due to the low absorption of pyrantel, it is a fairly safe drug for which contraindications are rare.
