Sandoz Bienestar Lactase is a food supplement that contains the enzyme lactase, which helps lactose digestion to take place more easily. It can be consumed normally by anyone, with no contraindications.
Sandoz Bienestar Lactase is a food supplement formulated for people who are lactose intolerant. It contains a large amount of the enzyme lactase, which is responsible for digesting lactose and converting it into two sugars that the body uses to generate energy.
When large amounts of lactose-containing foods are consumed, organisms that cannot digest the enzyme are unable to digest it properly. In these cases, the body's response is to look for ways to eliminate this nutrient, as it cannot metabolise it. This results in stomach pains, flatulence and, in some cases, diarrhoea.
This supplement does not have the lactose-type enzyme naturally, but does have a synthetic enzyme that works in the same way. However, its consumption does not restore the body's ability to create the enzyme naturally, and only provides a good amount so that the lactose molecules can be converted into energy for the cells to use for their most basic functions.
It is indicated exclusively for people whose body is not able to digest lactose completely or partially.
It is recommended to take 1 to 2 tablets a day, preferably before consuming any food containing lactose. It should be taken frequently and without breaks to allow the body to adapt. It is advisable to start eating foods containing lactose in small portions.
Taking the supplement does not mean acquiring total tolerance to the lactose consumed per day, but good results will be observed. A doctor should be consulted to assess the degree of acceptance of this nutrient that can be acquired. The product should be kept out of the reach of children and in a cool place.
Under no circumstances is it recommended to exceed the minimum dose, as better results will not be obtained with a higher daily intake. An excess of the supplement, although it does not have a very aggressive effect on the body, may cause stomach upset. This supplement does not replace all or part of the essential nutrients provided by all foods consumed daily. It should be consumed as part of a diet rich in essential nutrients.
