Royal Canin Pill Assist
We all know how difficult it can be for some owners to get their dog to take a pill (tablet, pill or capsule). In this respect, the figures speak for themselves: one in three owners admit that their pet spits out the dog pills prescribed by their vet.
Until now, owners had to give the tablets to their pet by forcing them to swallow them or by hiding the medication in food that was palatable to their pet, for example wet dog food. However, as this way of administering the treatment significantly unbalances the dog's diet and as some diseases can be made worse by additional nutritional inputs to "trick" the dog into taking its medication, Royal Canin has developed Pill Assist products, which are proven to work 97% of the time.
Pill Assist is a real help for owners because it makes it easier for the dog to swallow the medication, which ensures the result of the veterinary prescription. For this reason, Pill Assist avoids having to resort to treats or additional food to get the dog to take its medication, with the added benefit of avoiding extra calories and dietary imbalance. In addition, Pill Assist contains vitamins and prebiotics to help strengthen the patient's health.
Pill Assist products have been developed to be moulded to fit most pills, tablets and capsules on the market.
The Pill Assist formula is not specifically formulated for dogs with food allergies, so if the patient has any food allergy sensitivities, the owner should watch for signs of a reaction.
Once opened, it is not recommended to use it after one month and it should always be kept in a dry place, in its original packaging, tightly closed and at a moderate temperature.
