The microbiota is a community of bacteria, viruses, yeasts and other microorganisms that cohabit our body, present in the intestinal, oral, vaginal and urinary tracts, among others. These microorganisms form a protective layer that lines the walls of the digestive system, vagina, bladder, among others, performing essential functions for health.

The vaginal region, like the intestine, is home to billions of beneficial bacteria known as vaginal microbiota, which form a natural barrier to protect the vaginal mucosa and contribute to the maintenance of its health. Its main functions include defence against pathogenic microorganisms, maintenance of proper pH, hormonal balance, and prevention of infections and other vaginal conditions. Maintaining the balance of the vaginal microbiota is therefore crucial, both in situations of external changes (such as antibiotic use or stress) and internal changes (such as menopause). When an imbalance, also known as dysbiosis, occurs, discomfort can arise due to a decrease in beneficial micro-organisms and an increase in harmful ones. Maintaining this balance is essential for a woman's well-being and health.

Composition

Profaes4 Women combines carefully selected bacteria from the Lab4 consortium, including Lactobacillus acidophilus CUL-60, Lactobacillus acidophilus CUL-21, Bifidobacterium bifidum CUL-20 and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis CUL-34, together with Lactobacillus gasseri, a normal component of normal vaginal flora. It also contains Pacran® Cranberry extract, which provides proanthocyanidins and other important cranberry nutrients. Complementing these bacteria and extract, the Profaes4 Women's Pack includes vitamins B6 and C, which support the immune system, energy metabolism, fatigue reduction, psychological function and collagen formation for healthy bones, cartilage and skin.

Directions for use

Recommended intake is 1 or 2 capsules per day after food. Do not take with liquids or hot food.
Each capsule contains 2.5 billion active Lactobacillus gasseri CUL-09 bacteria and 12.5 billion active Lab4 bacteria.
