Prim night brace is a splint that helps to soothe foot pain caused by bunions, facilitates the readjustment of the big toe and recovery. It is very light and does not put excessive strain on the feet.
The Prim nighttime bunion corrector for the right foot is a splint or corrector used for the treatment of Hallux Valgus that helps to relieve pain by allowing the big toe to remain in the correct position during the night. It generates a tension towards the bunion that prevents its development and favours the onset of pain. The fitting is very simple. They fit the foot delicately, facilitating regeneration and containment at pressure points and load points.
The bunion or Hallux Valgus is one of the most common malformations on the outside of the foot. This anomaly is caused by years of excessive pressure on the joint of the first toe, which eventually becomes uneven and forms a bony protrusion.
Several factors influence the development of bunions, such as incorrect footwear, prolonged periods of standing, heredity or conditions such as gout or rheumatism. If the deformity is treated from the outset, its progression can be prevented.
The Prim night brace is designed not only to help correct these discomforts, but also to prevent them from occurring. It is made of cotton on the inside and a mouldable whalebone for better adaptation.
It has a strap that encircles the foot, which helps prevent slippage during movement or sleep, and the length of the heel strap can even be modified.
Prim's splint protectors are made of silicone, which provides softness and comfort, covering the bunion and sole of the foot, helping with relief, rubbing and pressure. It allows progressive improvement of the position of the first toe with the tension selected by the user on the heel locking device.
It is of fundamental importance to be consistent in the use of this type of orthopaedic device for the treatment to be effective. It is not recommended to press on the joint in such a way that the pain prevents a good night's rest.
