What is it and what is it for?

Prim Finger Pulse Oximeter is an accessory that has the ability to measure or quantify the level of oxygen saturation in the blood. It is very useful to be able to have suspicions of suffering from a respiratory system condition or simply to verify that the blood is transporting oxygen correctly. It has an OLED screen that allows a better visualisation of the measurements captured by the device. Its measurement range is from 70 % to 99 %.

This device is designed for minimum power consumption and works with the help of 2 x 1.5 volt AAA batteries. A pair of batteries of this reference can last up to 40 hours with the device switched on, as its power consumption is about 30 mA. The accuracy of the device is 2 % error. This means that the measurement taken may be at most 2 % higher or 2 % lower than actual. It does not indicate if the saturation is less than 70 %.

Who is it suitable for?

It is indicated for all those people (adults and children) who want to know what their oxygen saturation is at a given moment. It is used in cases where there is suspicion of suffering from a respiratory condition or simply to rule out the possibility of such a condition.

Instructions for use

It should be used with clean, dry hands. In order to take the oxygen saturation, you should preferably place your index finger in the middle of the device, turn it on and wait a few seconds for it to show the real value. The meter is like a clamp, it should be squeezed to open and the finger is placed in the resulting space.

It is important to note that normal blood oxygen saturation values are greater than 95 %. If the measurement is less than 95 % or simply could not be captured (because it is less than 70 %), it is best to seek immediate medical advice for diagnosis.

Do not get the device wet because it has delicate electronic components. It has an automatic shut-off.

Contraindications

No adverse effects or allergic reactions are indicated for use on the skin.

Composition

It is made of some electronic materials that allow oxygen saturation sensing and are safe for use on the skin.
