Pranarom Bio coconut vegetable oil obtained from the first pressing of the coconut pulp. It is an oil rich in lauric acid that moisturises and protects, ideal for use as a treatment for extremely dry skin and hair.
Pranarom Bio coconut vegetable oil is a nourishing oil with a pleasant scent, obtained from the first cold pressing of fresh coconut pulp. This vegetable shortening is rich in vitamins and lauric acid which, as well as having antimicrobial, antiviral and fungicidal action, works as a moisturiser. Lauric acid works actively against viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoa, inhibiting the development of these organisms that lodge in the pores of the skin, giving it a soothing and healing action. It is used as a treatment for skin xerosis, psoriasis, demonological spots and certain types of acne.
It deeply moisturises the skin, because its fatty acid composition is similar to the structure of the cells. It has an emollient, regenerating, softening, soothing, balsamic and nourishing effect. Suitable as a treatment for dry skin and hair. In addition to its protective function, it also regulates the acid-base balance. It is commonly used as a make-up removing oil, as it effectively removes all types of make-up, including waterproof make-up.
On hair, it has a repairing and softening effect on the fibres. It is rich in proteins, magnesium, iron and vitamins E and K. It deeply moisturises the hair and enhances its shine. It is also used as a complement in straightening processes, stopping frizz. It helps in the treatment of dandruff and repairs split ends.
People with dry skin and dry hair. It is prescribed for the care of skin conditions caused by dryness.
External use. Keep away from heat and light. If any unfavourable reaction is observed, discontinue use.
More than 90 % of the fatty acids are saturated, such as lauric (45-50 %), myristic (15-20 %), caprylic (5-10 %), palmitic (5-10 %), capric (4-8 %) and stearic (2-4 %) acids. The percentage of unsaturated fatty acids is less than 10 % (oleic acid 5-7 %).
