PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

Bottles should be fitted with a volume scale in millilitres.

The accuracy of the measurements indicated on a bottle is extremely important: failure to maintain the proportion of water to milk powder may cause too high a load on the infant's kidney, or too much water may be given in relation to the milk actually contained in a bottle.

This is also the case if powder is added incorrectly, REMEMBER "Use the measure provided on the powder packet or bottle, make sure it is well filled and do not overfill".

Risks of bottle feeding:

1. aerophagia: During feeding, the bottle should be kept well tilted to prevent the baby from swallowing excess air which could cause severe colic pains.

2. Burns: Sometimes, especially if the microwave is used, the body of the bottle does not heat up, but the contents may be close to boiling. The temperature of the milk or formula should be checked before giving it to the baby to avoid causing burns.

3. Emotional problems: The baby should never be deprived of the positive emotional aspects of breastfeeding. For this reason, it is important that while the bottle is being given, the affectionate relationship between the parents and the newborn is strengthened with words, kisses or caresses.

4. Release of materials: Due to the high temperatures to which the bottle is subjected, materials may come loose, which could obstruct the respiratory tract or cause toxic products to migrate. The choice of quality products guarantees safety in this respect.

5. Choking due to excessive food flow.

Always use this product under adult supervision.

Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids can cause tooth decay.

Inspect the teat carefully before each use and pull it in all directions. Discard at the first sign of deterioration or brittleness.

Keep all components out of reach of children when not in use.

Do not leave the teat in direct contact with sunlight or other heat sources and do not leave it immersed in sterilising solution for longer than recommended. This can damage the teat.

Never use the teats as a soother.

Always check the temperature of the food before feeding.
