This anti-decubitus mattress contains an environmentally friendly PU Nylon cover with cotton lining, is vapour permeable, water resistant and also has a fire retardant CA117 fabric.
It also reduces the ingress of unwanted liquids, which is why the cover comes with a zip that extends around the hospital mattress so that it can be easily removed and washed. The cells of this anti-decubitus orthopaedic mattress incorporate a low air loss ventilation system to remove moisture, thus maintaining the patient's comfort. The anti-decubitus air mattress system can be switched to static to facilitate all types of nursing procedures, including dressing changes.
As mentioned above, it has a toggle function in which the pump will inflate and deflate for the cells at regular intervals which can be 10 or 12 minutes, to change the contact position between the patient and the air mattress.This stimulates blood circulation to prevent pressure ulcers and facilitate recovery, also reducing the patient's pain and intensifying nursing work. It also includes an anti-decubitus pillow function, in which the cells positioned at head height do not alternate to provide greater patient comfort.
The air tubes contain springs inside. The springs are installed to prevent any unwanted kinks or bends in the tubes connecting the pump and the mattress to maintain an even airflow. The anti-decubitus air mattress incorporates CPR straps to deflate the orthopaedic mattress faster in case of an emergency. It also includes anti-slip elastic to prevent movement of the air mattress.
Finally, it contains a quick and easy to use connector to transform the motorised mattress into a sealed static air mattress. It is suitable for any bed and can therefore be used at home or in the hospital, providing a restful, comfortable and safe sleep.
Its installation is very simple, it is extended on an anti-decubitus mattress leaving the tubes at the foot of the bed to connect them to the silent compressor included.
