Description:
SERENEX® Canine Diffuser releases M2 pheromones through a constant vapour. These pheromones, with an action analogous to those secreted naturally during canine maternity, help to control inappropriate behaviour in canines. These behaviours are usually the result of stress and anxiety in challenging situations and are manifested by e.g. howling, destruction of furniture and objects, elimination of urine and faeces in inappropriate places, etc.Compared to natural pheromones, M2 pheromones have a higher stability, diffusion level and residual in the environment. SERENEX® works with puppies as well as adult dogs. It is a drug-free solution, recommended by veterinarians for behavioural problems. It can be used in conjunction with other medications or other treatments.
Indications:
SERENEX® Canine Diffuser is recommended in situations such as:
Weaning and adaptation to the new home.
Fear of loud noises such as thunder and fireworks.
Anxiety at times of loneliness (howling and barking when left alone at home).
Compulsive behaviours (excessive licking and self-aggression).
Destructive chewing.
Disposal of faeces and urine in inappropriate places.
Excessive vocalisations (continuous barking, howling, etc.).
Stress at moving to a new home.
Stress caused by changes in the environment, such as new furniture or remodelling.
Stress when socialising with other dogs.
Stress at the arrival of a new member of the household (birth of a baby, adoption of another animal).
Directions for use:
Each bottle of SERENEX® Canine Diffuser lasts approximately 4 weeks of uninterrupted use. It is ideal to place the diffuser in a socket away from draughts or open windows. Humidity and excessive ventilation can affect the diffusion of the pheromones, interfering with the effectiveness and duration of the product.
SERENEX® Canine Diffuser covers an area of up to 70 m2. It is recommended to apply the lowest intensity for areas between 30 and 40 m2, medium intensity for areas between 40 and 50 m2 and the highest intensity for areas between 50 and 70 m2.
In case of severe behavioural problems adjust to the highest evaporation intensity, regardless of the size of the area.
The diffuser unit should be replaced after 6 months of use and/or after the use of 6 refills to ensure correct evaporation of the liquid. Unscrew the cap of the liquid refill and screw the refill into the inside of the diffuser unit in a centred manner, so that the wick enters the centre of the circular heating element on the inside of the unit. Do not touch the wick with your fingers. Make sure that the bottle is properly secured. Always plug in the appliance with the refill in an upright position, turning the plug of the appliance if necessary to match the wall socket. The appliance has an on/off button and an intensity adjuster to regulate the level of evaporation. A pilot light on the appliance will indicate that the appliance is in operation. When there is no liquid left, replace only with SERENEX® Canine Diffuser refill. A 42 mL bottle lasts approximately 30 days. When not in use for long periods of time, unplug the device, unscrew the refill and replace the cap to prevent evaporation.
