Pestigon Karizoo is a solution for the treatment of fleas and ticks in cats. It has a fast insecticidal effect and helps prevent future infestations. It comes in a presentation of 4 pipettes of 0.5 ml each to be applied on the back of the cat.
Pestigon Karizoo is a topical anti-parasitic pipette for treating flea or tick infestations in cats. It is a clear, colourless to pale yellow solution, with a fast and persistent effect that protects the pet for several weeks. It can be used as an auxiliary treatment in dermatitis processes that have been diagnosed by the veterinarian. For best results it is advisable to treat other pets in the household with an appropriate insecticide.
Also, for the duration of the treatment (4 weeks), the cat should not be bathed frequently or shampooed, as this may reduce its efficacy. For optimal deworming, thorough cleaning and insecticide application to the cat's resting areas is necessary. This includes carpets, pillows, his bed and litter basket, which should be continuously washed and vacuumed.
On the other hand, when applying the product, care should be taken to ensure that it does not come into contact with the cat's eyes and to place it in an area where the animal cannot lick itself. Also, before starting the treatment, the cat should be weighed accurately and after application, do not handle it until the application site is dry. This solution is flammable and it is not recommended to smoke when applying it, nor to bring it near flames or sparks.
Pestigon solution is indicated for cats that are over 8 weeks or over 1 kg in weight and have fleas or ticks. Its use in pregnant and lactating cats should be supervised and authorised by the veterinarian.
The pipette should be held in an upright position and tapped lightly with the finger so that all the liquid is in the main body of the pipette. Then peel off the top of the pipette along the dashed line and separate the pet's hair until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and empty the contents, a little at the base of the skull and the rest 3 cm below.
Not suitable for cats under 8 weeks of age or for cats weighing less than 1 kg. It should also not be used on convalescent, sick or feverish animals, or other animals such as rabbits. In addition, it is recommended to discontinue use if the animal is hypersensitive to any of its components.
