Wash and dry hands before applying the nappy. Loosen the stickers and fold them backwards. It is advisable to stick them on themselves to prevent them from sticking to the skin. Before changing the soiled nappy, it should be cleaned properly. If faeces are present, they should be cleaned, taking care that there is no splashing on the penis or in the vagina as the case may be. Disposable towels can be used for this purpose.
After cleaning the genitals and removing the soiled nappy, lift the adult's legs and place the clean nappy under the buttocks, making sure that the adhesive is on the correct side. Then, pull the bottom of the nappy over the adult's legs, taking care not to hurt the adult's limbs by opening them too wide. Special care should be taken not to leave the nappy too bulky between the legs, as this could cause allergies or skin irritation.
In the case of users, the penis should be left downwards to prevent urine from leaking out of the nappy. Afterwards, the nappy should be closed by sticking the stickers on each side. Try not to make it too tight so that it does not hurt the skin.
Close the nappy tightly and discard the soiled nappy. It is important to wash your hands again after changing the patient.
