Clean hands for 30 seconds and put on inspection gloves. Unfold, stretch the absorbent and fold into a small boat shape to activate the barriers.
With the patient on their side, place the nappy between the legs and align it from front to back. Centre and adjust the nappy, opening the wings, passing one under the patient. The absorbent pad should be aligned with the spine.
