The Edda Pharma glucometer is used as follows:

• Insert a strip into the port and make contact with the bars with the end of the strip facing upwards. Then turn the meter on and observe the display with all segments.
• The flashing test strip and blood drop icon indicate that the test strip has been inserted correctly and that it is safe to add the drop of blood.
• Next, the tip of the sample should be touched to the end of the test strip with the drop of blood on it.
• Finally, the meter will count down from 9 to 1 and emit an electrical signal to indicate that the process is complete.
