Creatine is a substance produced by our body (mainly in the liver, kidneys and pancreas) from three amino acids: Glycine, Arginine and Methionine. This substance is secreted into the bloodstream and distributed to the different cells of the body, and because of its functions in the body, creatine is one of the most widely used supplements in athletes. In fact, it has been shown that consuming 3 grams of creatine improves physical performance in successive sets of short, high-intensity exercise.
