Double immunochromatography for the independent detection of Parvovirus (CPV) and Coronavirus (CCV) specific antigens in dog faecal samples in a single assay.
Infected dogs normally excrete detectable levels of specific antigens.
Use dog faecal samples.
Open the envelope at the time of testing and keep the cassette on a flat, non-moving surface.
Take the faecal sample with the collector directly from the faeces or by direct collection from the anus of the animal. Insert the end of the collector with the sample into the buffer tube. Shake the collector for 15 seconds in the tube to remove the sample.
2. Remove and hold the cassette on a flat surface and do not move.
3. Using the pipette, dispense 4 drops (120 μ) of sample buffer into each of the two circular wells. Avoid depositing large particles.
4. Examine the result 20 minutes after addition of the sample buffer.
Positive (+): One coloured band in the test area (T) and one in the control area (C).
Negative (-): Only one coloured band is observed in the control zone (C).
Incorrect (INC): If no colour band appears in the control area (C) it is recommended to repeat the test with a new cassette.
