Dentispray 50 mg/ ml Oral Spray Solution 5 ml

It is a topical medicine with an anaesthetic action for the treatment of toothache, tooth or gum pain.

Adults and children over 2 years of age.

Dosage varies according to the age of the patient:

• Children between 2 and 12 years of age: always under strict medical supervision.

• Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 application 3 or 4 times a day.

• Do not use Dentispray spray on children under 2 years of age.

• Special caution in people over 65 years of age due to the effects of benzocaine.

• Pregnancy and lactation: consult a doctor.

Like all medicines, Dentispray may cause side effects:

• Frequent adverse reactions: irritation in the mouth or on the tip of the tongue, usually transient side effects.

• Very frequent adverse reactions: urticaria, oedema, photosensitivity, bad taste in the mouth, difficulty in swallowing.

Each ml of Dentispray dental solution contains 50 mg of benzocaine. The other ingredients are: polyethylene glycol 400, purified water, saccharin sodium, thymol, menthol, peppermint essence, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate and ethanol 96º.

Dentispray comes in a 5 ml nebuliser bottle with a dosing valve. Once the valve is loaded, it can be applied directly to the painful area or applied to a cotton wool pad and left for a few minutes and then removed. It is recommended to rinse the mouth after 2 or 3 minutes.

This medicine should not be used before eating or drinking. Before using the bottle for the first time, it is advisable to spray 2 or 3 times into the air in order to charge the dosing valve.
