Stodal syrup is a homeopathic medicine traditionally used for the symptomatic treatment of cough.
Stodal syrup is available in a 200 ml bottle with a non-drip device and a measuring cup.
Stodal is also available in tubes of granules.
This medicine should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any other component of the preparation.
Pregnancy and lactation
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
Driving and use of machines
At the recommended dose, Stodal syrup is unlikely to have any effect on the ability to drive a vehicle or operate machinery.
Important information about some of the ingredients
This medicine contains sucrose.
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Patients with diabetes mellitus should be aware that this medicine contains 3.75 g of sucrose per 5 ml of Stodal syrup.
This medicine contains 1.74% ethanol (alcohol), which corresponds to an amount of 0.069 g per 5 ml of Stodal syrup, which may be harmful to people suffering from alcoholism. It should be taken into account in pregnant or breast-feeding women, children and high-risk groups, such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Adults : 1 dose of 15 ml 3 to 5 times a day.
Children : 1 dose of 5 ml 3 to 5 times a day.
Measure the required millilitres using the measuring cup.
The intakes should be spread throughout the day and at bedtime to soothe night-time coughs.
Oral use.
Follow these instructions unless your doctor has given you different instructions. Remember to take your medicine.
If you think that the effect of Stodal syrup is too strong or too weak, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
If symptoms worsen or persist after three days, consult your doctor.
Treatment should not last longer than one week.
If you have used Stodal syrup more than you should, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
If you forget to take Stodal syrup
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
Like all medicines, Stodal syrup may have side effects.
If you notice any reaction not described in this leaflet, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

No special storage conditions are necessary.
This medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the pack.
Medicines should not be disposed of down the drain or in the trash. Please dispose of unneeded medicines and containers at the SIGRE point at the pharmacy. If in doubt, ask your pharmacist how to dispose of unneeded packaging and medicines. In this way, you will help to protect the environment.
