Alergoftal is a medicine belonging to the group of eye drops used to treat allergic conjunctivitis. Its symptoms include redness, tearing, burning or irritation, among others. This is achieved thanks to its dual composition with both decongestive and anti-allergic action.
Intended for use in adults with symptoms associated with allergic conjunctivitis.
Apply 1 or 2 drops to the symptomatic eye every 8 to 6 hours, without exceeding 5 days of treatment.
Do not use Alergoftal:
In patients with an underlying eye disease.
In patients with diabetes or thyroid disease
In patients with hypertension
In patients with glaucoma.
As with all medicines,Alergoftal may cause side effects. These side effects include:pupil dilation, stinging, continuous redness or slight pain in the eyes.
The active ingredients of this medicine are naphazoline hydrochloride and antazoline phosphate. Each ml of product contains 0.25 mg naphazoline hydrochloride (0.025%) and 5 mg antazoline phosphate (0.5%). The other excipients are: benzalkonium chloride, polyethylene glycol (macrogol) 8000, polyvinyl alcohol, sodium chloride, edetate disodium, sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid and purified water.
It is recommended to pay attention to the way it is applied, as it is a sterile medicine. The procedure is as follows: with previously washed hands, tilt the head backwards holding the lower eyelid with one hand while with the other hand apply the necessary dose of eye drops into the conjunctival sac.
If you need another type of ophthalmic medicine, it is recommended to wait at least 5 minutes.
