MMSS sling or immobilisation strap

Tape: Polyester, Polyurethane, Polyamide.
Velcro fastening system: Nylo
Cut the tape to the required length.
Apply Y velcro fasteners to both ends of the tape.
Tie a loop around the forearm at the elbow.
Pull the strap up the back and down the contralateral shoulder towards the wrist.
Wrap the strap around the wrist and secure it with the velcro fastener.
Postoperative (e.g. rotator cuff repair).
Fractures of clavicle, scapula, humeral head or shaft.
Sprains and strains of the shoulder.
Inflammatory conditions (capsulitis, rotator cuff calcifications).
Minor shoulder instabilities (dorsal instability).
Support for hemiplegia or with splints or casts.
Temporary stabilisation in emergencies.
