Acofar Hydrogen Peroxide 5% 500 ml

The Acofar laboratory has created a medical product to facilitate the healing of bruises, contusions and injuries. It is hydrogen peroxide 5%, a chemical compound in liquid form.

This solution is recognised for its antiseptic and disinfectant properties. It can be used to clean both healthy skin and skin with superficial wounds. It is also effective for rinsing the mouth after dental extractions.

It acts as a levuricide to help reduce fungus in the dermis. It is a potent bactericide that works against different microorganisms, such as yeasts, fungi and spores.

It is indicated for external use only. Its action is short-lasting and broad-spectrum. It minimises the reproduction of anaerobic bacteria, which proliferate in injured human body tissues, so that they do not receive a high oxygen blood flow. Helps prevent tetanus and gangrene.

It is used as a debrider to remove damaged or dead tissue and accelerate the healing process. It is used to wash ulcers, stop bleeding and stop nosebleeds. It helps to disinfect scratches, scrapes or small cuts.

Acofar hydrogen peroxide 5% 500 ml is indicated for children, adults and elderly people who have superficial wounds, as it helps to disinfect them and prevent the formation of microorganisms.

How to apply this product depends on the intended use. For washing wounds, it is used undiluted, poured directly on the wound or soaked in cotton wool and then wiped over the affected area.

In case of nosebleeds, soak a cotton or gauze pad and plug the nostril where the bleeding is occurring.

For gargling, it is diluted in previously boiled water and then the whole mouth is rinsed.

Hydrogen peroxide should be used with great care in children under 24 months. May irritate eyes, mucous membranes or sensitive skin areas.

Do not apply for an extended period of time, especially as a gargle or mouthwash, as it may cause irritation or produce a condition called hairy tongue.

Do not ingest because it generates intoxication, in case it is consumed, it is important to go immediately to a health centre.

The product is not compatible with oxidising elements, such as iodine or permanganate, not with reducing agents.
