The Urgo forehead thermometer in 1 unit presentation is an instrument in the form of a strip that is placed on the forehead to measure body temperature in just 15 seconds. It changes colour when it detects a high degree of heat, is easy to carry and can be used several times.

Due to its non-invasive use, it is suitable for taking the temperature of the youngest members of the household. It uses thermochromic liquid crystals to display the scale of results.

Fever is a signal sent by the body to indicate that it is facing a particular situation, which can be inflammation, infection, reaction to vaccines, tooth eruption and others. It is characterised by an increase in body temperature above 38°C and is not usually dangerous on its own. It is therefore essential to have this product available at all times.

It is suitable for children and adults who want an efficient and easy-to-carry body temperature measuring instrument. It also suits the needs of those who want to monitor temperature variation in young children with a non-invasive and easily available method.

• Lay the person whose temperature is to be taken down for 5 minutes before taking the measurement.
• Place the black side of the thermometer in direct contact with the clean, dry forehead, just above the eyebrows.
• Press firmly on the forehead, holding both ends of the thermometer.
• It should be in constant contact with the skin for approximately 15 seconds or until the coloured markings no longer change.
• Wipe off with a slightly damp cloth.

For best results, the room temperature should be 21°C. Do not exercise or consume hot beverages within 30 minutes before taking the temperature. Do not use outdoors or immediately after exposure to sunlight or extreme cold weather. Not as effective as a clinical thermometer, so it is recommended to confirm the result with several measurements. If the result does not increase by more than 1 degree, but you suspect that the person has a fever, confirm with a clinical thermometer.

Do not use if you have wounds or burns on the forehead.
