- In case of diarrhoea: to prevent dehydration: children: 10 ml per kilo of body weight after each liquid stool. Follow the usual diet. From 40 kg and adults: drink according to thirst.
- Mild dehydration (less than 5% weight loss). 30-50 ml per kg body weight for 4 hours. After 4 hours, continue as above.
- In case of vomiting: administer in small sips every 3-5 min.
