Dill essential oil prepared by Pranarôm retains the antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and carminative properties for which this medicinal plant is known. These are the reasons why it is used to help soothe heavy digestions, as it prevents the onset of intestinal gas. This is because it speeds up digestion to reduce fermentation during which excess sulphur is produced, which is the cause of the build-up of stomach gas. Similarly, if gas has already appeared, this essential oil helps to eliminate it to restore gastric comfort, as it calms spasms and pains.
It also acts as a natural diuretic that promotes the elimination of liquids, thus helping to improve the state of the kidneys and cleanse the urinary tract. The recommended dose is one drop of dill essential oil under the tongue twice a day.
For application to the skin, it is recommended to mix three to five drops of dill oil per 10 ml of vegetable oil or massage cream. This same ratio can be applied to shampoo or facial cleansing gel for acne.
