3M are protective, elastic, padded and resistant fabric strips that are used to place over small wounds or scratches and protect them from knocks or friction that could injure them or worsen their condition. They are very adherent to the skin, and can even adhere to wet skin. They adapt to movement, so they can easily be used on knees, elbows, wrists and other joints without the risk of them coming off or slipping off. They are also waterproof strips which, despite exposure to water or other substances, will not come off and protect the area from germs and other contaminants.
The pieces are completely hypoallergenic. They are made of latex. They come in assorted sizes, so you can choose the one that best suits the size of the cut or injury. The product is composed of 6 units of 25 mm x 72 mm, 10 units of 19 mm x 72 mm and 4 units of 2 mm x 22 mm. They come in flesh colour. They are sterile and are used and disposed of with a single use.
Some injuries, scratches or small cuts require additional protection to prevent delayed healing. This is why some strips or dressings are intended to protect or cover these injuries, allowing them to heal more safely and quickly. Exposure of certain wounds to constant moisture or other contaminants can aggravate the situation and cause infections or other complications.
