It is cultivated in fresh water, dehydrated to preserve its nutritional power and micro-pulverised for greater absorption. Its colour is blue-green due to the presence of chlorophyll (green) and phycocyanin (blue). It contains 70% vegetable protein with all the essential amino acids balanced, as well as a high number of nutrients: vitamins (E and B12 among others), assimilable iron, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, carotene, essential fatty acids, nucleic acids (DNA and RNA), chlorophyll, and a wide range of phytochemicals.
