Mepilex® Lite foam dressing has been specially designed for the treatment of chronic and acute wounds with low levels of exudate. Its slim profile provides softness and comfort, making it easy to apply in hard-to-reach areas. In addition, it can be easily cut to size as required. Mepilex Lite dressings are proven to protect fragile skin from external forces such as friction and pressure caused by frequent use of medical devices. Its design includes Safetac®, an original contact layer with silicone adhesion that reduces pain. This feature allows it to gently conform to the skin without adhering to the moist wound, making it easier to remove the dressing without damaging the skin. This results in reduced pain for patients. In addition, it seals the wound edges to prevent lateral leakage of exudate and protect the skin from maceration. Mepilex Lite has been clinically proven to help control skin reactions induced by radiotherapy.
