Make sure you have all the necessary supplies on hand, including a Dodot nappy, wipes, and, if needed, a nappy cream.
1. Cleaning: Carefully clean the baby's nappy area with wet wipes or a damp, dry cloth. Make sure the skin is completely dry before continuing.
2. Fitting: Open the Dodot nappy and place it under the baby, with the front of the nappy facing upwards and the wetness indicator facing outwards. Make sure the flaps of the nappy are unfolded.
3. Waist fit: Lift baby's legs and slide the Dodot nappy underneath him, making sure it is centred and the nappy's ears are at waist level. Ensure a snug fit, but not too tight.
4. Side fasteners: Tighten the adhesive strips on the sides of the nappy to secure it in place. Make sure the tapes are securely attached to the front of the nappy, and that the nappy is secure and tight.
5. Leg fit: Check that the leg liners are securely fastened to prevent leaks. Make sure there is no gap between the nappy and the baby's skin.
6. Wetness check: If the Dodot nappy has a wetness indicator, check if it changes colour to know when it is wet and it is time to change it.
7. Safe disposal: After using the Dodot nappy, carefully remove the adhesive tapes and roll it up to contain any debris. Place it in a disposable nappy bag or suitable container before disposing of it in the trash.
