Difur 24 capsules

It is a herbal tablet for the relief of symptoms associated with mild to moderate inflammatory skin processes.

It is widely used in patients suffering from Psoriasis.

It comes in a pack of 24 capsules.

Difur is indicated for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. Between 6 and 12 years of age it can be used under medical prescription and is not allowed for use in children under 6 years of age.

During pregnancy and lactation it is contraindicated unless prescribed by a doctor.

Oral administration before main meals. Dosage is as follows:

• Adults and adolescents: 1 capsule, 3 times a day, equivalent to 360 mg of Polypodium leucotomos extract daily. If necessary, an additional capsule may be taken, preferably in the evening.

• Children from 6 to 12 years of age: 1 capsule twice a day, equivalent to 240 mg of Polypodium leucotomos extract daily.

The recommended duration of treatment is 4 weeks, after which the doctor should be consulted as to whether or not to continue.

Do not take Difur if you are allergic to Polypodium leucotomos L. extract or to any of the excipients.

Side effects are rare, but stomach upset, skin rash and itching may occur very rarely.

Active substance: extract of Polypodium leucotomos L. Each hard capsule contains 120 mg dried extract of rhizome of Polypodium leucotomos L. (native DER 4-6:1) corresponding to 2.5 - 6.25 mg quinic acid. Extraction solvent: Ethanol 12.5% w/w. Excipients: maize starch, magnesium stearate (E-572) and lactose anhydrous, titanium dioxide (E-171), erythrosine (E-127), gelatine and iron oxide red (E-172).

Difur is available as hard gelatine capsules, with a red-coloured cap and body, packed in PVC-aluminium blister packs containing 24 or 96 capsules.

This medicine contains lactose. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, ask your doctor before taking this medicine.
