Maximises fat loss and maintains lean mass during low-calorie diets.β-HMB (β-hydroxymethylbutyrate) is a metabolite derived from the metabolism of one of the three branched amino acids, Leucine. In muscle cells, HMB acts as a metabolic intermediate, amplifying energy production capacity, stimulating synthesis and reducing protein catabolism. In addition, HMB is an intracellular cholesterol precursor molecule that improves cell membrane integrity by reducing its disruption during exercise and helping to maximise nutrient uptake during and after workouts. Increased intracellular levels of β-HMB have been linked to improved recovery, rebuilding and muscle growth. HMB 3800 contains the scientifically recommended daily amount of 3 grams of HMB. Recommended intake To support training adaptations, optimise recovery and mitigate catabolism induced by intense and prolonged workouts, 3 capsules (60kg individuals) to 4 capsules (80kg individuals) of HMB should be taken 2 to 1 hour before training. On non-training days, consumption can be divided into three intakes of 1 capsule: at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Supplementation should be extended for a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks in the untrained and up to 6 weeks in the more highly trained to see benefits. It can be consumed with water, juice or sports drink.
