Capstar oral flea treatment for dogs and cats
Capstar Flea treatment for dogs and cats is an antiparasitic in tablet form that acts in cases of flea infestation. It has no persistent or preventive activity, it is administered when infestation is detected, killing adult fleas rapidly. Effects are visible within one hour of tablet administration, although 95% efficacy occurs after 6 hours and 100% after 24 hours. The active substance in Capstar is Nitenpiram, which is well tolerated by dogs and cats and completely safe for their health, as there are no known side effects after use. It is also suitable for use during pregnancy and lactation. However, it should not be used in animals less than 4 months and less than 1 kg in weight. Nitenpiram interferes with the nerve transmission of fleas and causes their death within a few hours.
