Beter's oval pumice stone is very useful for reducing uncomfortable and unattractive roughness on the feet, as well as removing dead skin cells. Using this stone leaves your limbs feeling soft, fresh and pleasantly smooth.
It is a rock of volcanic origin with a porous and very light texture. It is formed by the cooling of highly viscous magma. Beter pumice stone is greyish or whitish in colour, moderately hard and has an oval shape achieved manually. It is resistant to water and fire and is widely used in cosmetic procedures and personal grooming. This light rock can be used as a skin exfoliator thanks to its natural abrasive qualities.
The Beter Oval Stone is useful for reducing surface skin blemishes and calluses and flaking or dead skin, without causing skin damage. It is also ideal for depilating and helping to remove hair in various areas of the body, in a natural, painless and simple way. In this case, enveloping rotating movements are made to help remove the hairs.
Another known use of this Beter stone is to help remove superficial stains in armpits, elbows or knees, caused by the use of chemical products such as deodorants. For this procedure, the stone should be moistened with a little olive oil to stimulate the regeneration of the dermis and improve the effect. By using the Beter oval pumice stone, it is possible to achieve regenerated skin free of calluses and roughness.
The use of the oval pumice stone is indicated for adults with calluses and roughness on feet, hands and other areas of the body. It can be used on all skin types, bearing in mind that very dry skin can be injured when used directly.
It is suggested to soak the feet in warm water and soap, to soften the rough parts to be removed. Then, make circular movements with the pumice stone all over the sole of the foot, emphasising the roughest areas. It is recommended to use this stone 3 times a week, without rubbing excessively so as not to damage the skin. Afterwards, a moisturising cream should be applied to make the feet really soft. This stone can be used either wet or with the addition of natural essential oils.
The use of this Beter stone is not recommended for people who notice any adverse reaction during its use. It is also not recommended for use on small children and babies.
