Prim sacrolumbar belt Airtex is breathable, does not contain latex and provides moderate compression in the lumbar area. It is a class I medical device that helps to alleviate and prevent different conditions in the lower back.
Prim Airtex sacrolumbar belt is one size fits all and thanks to its intelligent modular design it adjusts to all contours. It consists of a lumbar reinforcement with 4 removable, adaptable steel plates and removable elastic tensioning bands with a double velcro fastening system. It exerts a moderate compression on the lumbar area that stimulates microcirculation to relieve discomfort and pain.
The removable tensor allows to increase or decrease the compression according to the needs of each patient. It is 100% latex free, its front height is 16 cm and the back height is 26 cm. It is reusable, but should not be shared or given to other patients because each brace requires prior fitting and adaptation, which must be carried out by trained personnel.
The instructions of the health professional must be followed in terms of daily hours of use and the length of time for which the treatment will be followed in order for it to be effective. It is a product that should be removed when taking a bath or going to rest at night, it is anatomical and light. The technology applied in the brace allows a medium immobilisation with a lot of comfort thanks to the combination of breathable materials with lycra.
The purpose of this brace is to help restore mobility and relieve pain in the area. Lumbar supports also support the area and relax the back muscles. Its use improves stability and allows the patient to feel more secure when moving around and prevents them from making sudden movements that could worsen the injury.
The Airtex sacrolumbar support is indicated for adults who suffer from low back pain, vertebral disc disorders and when they are undergoing post-surgery lumbar processes.
The belt is pre-assembled and it should be noted where each side goes. To adjust the size of the girdle, the small reference holes should be used to centre the girdle. The micro hook of the tensioner is then attached to the back of the belt and centred. Afterwards, the front of the sash needs to be closed to adjust it to the required size. Finally, the tensioner is adjusted with the help of the straps by first closing the left strap and then the right strap mounted on top of the previous one.
This product is not suitable for children or for treating injuries other than those indicated by the manufacturer or the doctor recommending its use. The orthosis should not be worn over open, bleeding, oozing or infected wounds.
