Actimag is a medicine in the form of an oral solution that belongs to the group of magnesium supplements. It is used to treat and prevent low levels of magnesium in the body.
It is intended for use in adults and children over 12 years of age. It can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding, always under medical prescription.
In people over 65 years of age with kidney problems, the dose should be adjusted by a doctor.
Take 5 ml twice a day with food and do not exceed the maximum recommended dose of 10 ml/day.
Do not use Antimag:
In children under 12 years of age.
In case of allergy to the active ingredient or any of the components present in the formula.
In people with high levels of magnesium in the blood.
If you suffer or have suffered from diabetic coma, chronic diarrhoea,Cushing's disease or muscular weakness and/or fatigue.
If you suffer or have suffered fromcalcium absorption, kidney or heart problems.
Antimag may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, the following side effects, the frequency of which cannot be established with certainty, have been observed:
Occasionally: gastric discomfort, diarrhoea.

Rarely, a severe allergic reaction may occur. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms: flushing, itching/swelling (especially of the face, tongue or throat), dizziness and/or trouble breathing.
The active substance is magnesium pidolate. Each ml of Antimag oral solution contains 400 mg magnesium pidolate (equivalent to 34.7 mg magnesium). The other excipients are: sucrose, propylene glycol, saccharin sodium, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-216), raspberry flavouring, peppermint flavouring, amaranth colouring (E-123) and water.
Excessive and prolonged consumption of products containing magnesium and calcium can cause an excessive concentration of calcium in the blood. In these situations, the intake of calcium-rich foods, such as dairy products, should be controlled.
It is important to take Actimag with food to avoid possible stomach upset and its use should be complemented by a diet rich in natural products containing magnesium.
