Acofar baby is a stone-coloured silicone soother with an anatomical design that fits very well in baby's mouth; it is resistant and BPA-free. Its ergonomic teat helps to awaken baby's natural sucking reflex.
Acofar baby is a daily use soother for babies from 1 year of age onwards and has an anatomical teat that adapts to the oral cavity without discomfort. The soother's protective shield is the right size to reduce the risk of it being swallowed by the baby. It does not mark their skin and does not contain chemical compounds that can affect the health of the little ones.
The silicone that integrates this infant accessory is durable, does not absorb odours or flavours and does not deform with use, although it is advisable to replace it every two months. It is also advisable to discard it when deterioration or changes in colour, shape or material are noticed. It is hypoallergenic and its perforated design allows it to adapt to the natural position of the tongue and facilitates air circulation for the child's comfort.
One of the benefits of giving them a soother is that it stimulates their natural sucking instinct, but it should not be used as a replacement for feeding or to delay feeding. On the other hand, it can help calm babies when they cry or are upset about having blood drawn or vaccinations. It is a great help to keep them calm during a visit to the paediatrician or when it is difficult for them to fall asleep, as sucking tends to relax them.
It is not advisable to leave the soother in the baby's mouth all the time; it is necessary to limit and regulate its use and prepare it for the moment when it should be definitively removed, which should not be later than 2 years of age. Its shape imitates that of the mother's nipple, favours the correct development of the palate and is generally well accepted by babies. The use of this soother while the child sleeps can prevent sudden infant death syndrome, especially in non-breastfed babies. This is because sucking activates the brain mechanisms that control the upper airway.
This soother is suitable for babies 12 months and older, to soothe them and help them fall asleep.
Before first use, sterilise the soother in boiling water for 2 minutes. Remove excess water and allow to air dry. Repeat this process if the soother gets dirty or falls on the floor and at least once a day to remove accumulated dirt and bacteria.
Not suitable for babies under 12 months of age or those with intolerance or allergic reactions to its components.
