Acofarbaby soothers are products specially manufactured to provide greater comfort for babies. They are anatomically shaped to adapt to the size of the baby's mouth, the natural shape of the tongue and the sucking movement.
They are indicated from birth to 6 months. However, some experts recommend starting to use them after the age of 15 days, as they consider that breastfeeding is already well established during this period.
This soother helps to soothe the child, relaxing him and allowing him to rest better. It has a teat, a disc, a ring, a shutter and a cover. The teat is the flexible part that is inserted into the mouth and is made of silicone to help reduce the risk of allergies.
Silicone also makes the product more durable and prevents the absorption of odours and flavours. It is also less resistant to pulling and biting. For this reason, it is recommended for the first months of life as this is the stage when teeth have not yet emerged.
The soother's disc resembles a protective screen placed behind the teat. Its purpose is to prevent the product from being sucked in completely. In this way, accidents are avoided.
When any change in colour, deformity or damage to the material is observed, it should be discarded and replaced with a new one. It is not necessary to sterilise the gum every time the baby is going to suck on it, only when it falls to the floor to eliminate any adherence or dirt.
