The mission of ORTIS ' 130 employees is to sustainably improve the well-being of consumers by developing and providing access to natural and innovative solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, efficacy and safety.

ORTIS product formulas are rigorously developed and tested by our R&D teams, the vast majority of our products are composed of several ingredients that complement each other to achieve the expected well-being effect, and ORTIS products comply with Belgian and European legislation that recognises the status of food supplements for very specific plants.

Our teams are mobilised to guarantee optimum quality thanks to: a demanding selection of ingredient suppliers, raw materials that meet strict specifications, often exceeding market standards, strict compliance with European and Belgian legal requirements, exhaustive control thanks to a HACCP-approved management system and regular analysis by approved independent laboratories or by our laboratory, to verify the consistency and efficacy of the products.

Driven by the spirit of its founders, the HORN couple, ORTIS has developed a real social commitment shared by the company's 130 employees. This commitment is based on respect and harmony between man and nature, and has been very much alive for decades.

ORTIS ' history is closely linked to innovation, with, for example, the development of liquid royal jelly in 1958 and the development of the first organic tablet coating. In 2018, innovation is a powerful development driver for ORTIS with the launch of new products, but also through various partnerships with the Walloon Region and other companies in which ORTIS is involved, on several very specific research projects.

Regrouping throughout Belgium

On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, ORTIS has decided to launch the "Herba Sana near you" project by developing, together with other partners, local medicinal gardens on the model of the "Herba Sana" Garden in Elsenborn. The aim of "Herba Sana near you" is to raise awareness of the benefits of Nature in general and of medicinal plants in particular. In addition, thanks to an educational component, (lectures, workshops,...) it also offers the possibility for everyone to be able to develop a medicinal garden "at home". Each "Herba Sana near you!" garden is composed of 25 essential plants in relation to the main indications identified thanks to the labels attached to the side of each plant. The visitor also has an information document to discover the garden and can complete the information on www.herba-sana.be.
