This is due to their anatomy, as they have a larger colon and a longer intestinal transit time than small dogs.
Veterinary HPM™ has included a special formulation with an enriched digestible complex to address the specific needs of these dogs.

Digestive tolerance. The incorporation of several functional ingredients improves stool quality (odour, consistency, bulk) and limits flatulence. In dogs with high protein sensitivities, the adapted protein content of this diet helps to control the water content of the faeces.
